Applying for Certificates

 Current Students

Academic transcripts and certificates of enrollment

1. Regular students (undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students)

 You can use your student identification card to have certificates issued from an automatic certificate machine. The automatic certificate machines are located on the second floor (art media room) of the TTF (Tokyo Tech Front) Building at Ookayama Campus and on the 1st floor of the Interdepartmental Building J1 at Suzukakedai Campus.

2. Research students and YSEP students

 International Student Exchange Division issues certificates of enrollment and certification of Estimated Date of Completion. Please bring your student ID card to International Student Exchange Division or the Student Affairs Division in Suzukakedai Campus when you apply. Certificates of enrollment in Japanese can be issued immediately. However, it takes three days to issue a certificate of enrollment in English. Research Students in Suzukakedai Campus may apply for certificates at the Student Affairs Division in Suzuakedai Campus, but it will take 3 days for certificates to be issued, whether they are in Japanese or English, because they will involve the use of Campus Mail.


Scholarship certificates

 Please apply at the following places. It takes three days to issue these certificates.

1. Monbukagakusho scholarship certificates

 Student Support Division, Campus Life Support Group (Ookayama)
 Student Affairs Division, Student Support Group (Suzukakedai)

2. Gakushu Shoureihi certificates and private scholarship certificates
 

 Student Support Division, Financial Aid Group(Ookayama)

 Student Affairs Division, Student Support Group (Suzukakedai)


Certificate of Research (a diploma-type certificate)

  If you want to obtain “Certificate of Research (a diploma-type certificate)”, please submit “Kenkyu Houkokusho (Report on the Research- Form7 –to be filled yourself)” and “Kenkyu Hyouka Houkokusho (Evaluation report on the Research- Form8- to be filled by your academic advisor) to International Student Exchange Division (Mail Building 1st Floor, Room # 21). It takes about 2-3 months for the Certificate of Research to be issued. It will be sent to you from your lab after you go back to your country. Please note that you cannot ask to issue this certificate after your research period.

 Alumni

Regular students (undergraduates, master’s and doctoral)

 Individuals who were regular students in Ookayama Campus should apply to the General Admistration Group, Student Affairs Division in Ookayama Campus; those who were regular students in Suzukakedai Campus should apply to the Student Support Group, Student Affairs Division in Suzukakedai Campus. It takes approximately ten days to issue these certificates. For more details, click here (in Japanese only).

Research Students and YSEP students

 International Student Exchange Division issues certificates of the enrollment period. It takes three days to issue a certificate of the enrollment period.

 Students are liable for the cost of postage if they apply for it by mail. Please enclose International Reply Coupon in case you apply from overseas by mail.
