<p>
For the first time this year, we present you with the staff-pick of the month … [drum roll] … the “First House Yokohama Aoba” share house! Not only is it a 10-minute walk from Aobadai station, where express trains also stop, this clean and stylish abode is also located on many different bus routes – perfect for saving time or when carting around many pieces of luggage in the rain. Located just next door to the share house is a big drugstore that sells food, household items, cosmetics, and more. “First House” itself has a spacious entrance with a large shoe closet and a locker to store your delivered packages. Whether chilling with a book on the big sofa in the lounge, cooking meals in the large open kitchen, or just chatting with other residents while trying a hand at pool, this cozy accommodation and cool amenities make it a fantastic place to call home. The kitchen and bathroom are shared, with some bathrooms exclusively for women. In terms of private spaces, each bedroom is equipped with the necessities such as a bed, desk, refrigerator, mirror, and closet.

When the need for retail therapy arises, head over to Aobadai station to check the cute, comfortable fashions of Muji and Uniqlo shops, stop in any of the cafés for a cup of joe, or stock up on your groceries for the week at your favorite supermarket. Also a convenient walking distance away is Tooka Ichiba station of the JR line, from which you can arrive at Machida in 8 minutes to visit Yakushi Ike Park, Serigaya Park, and Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts, or take the bullet train for 12 minutes to reach JR Shin-Yokohama to check out Yokohama Alina Stadium and the Ramen Museum. Talk about great weekend getaways! Last but not least, <i>Buji Kaeru*</i> the frog will be waiting for your safe return home every day at the Tooka Ichiba crossing.
