Changes in Garbage Disposal Policy at International House
From October 2023, Ota Ward will change their garbage collection methods. In line with this change, the International House will also change the garbage disposal policy from October.
Please check the following “Notice from Ota City” before disposing of garbage.
Residents will be provided with plastic garbage bags (clear, 20L), which all the residents are requested to use starting in October.

Procedures:
Until September 2023
- Combustible garbage (white, 20L)
- Non-combustible garbage (yellow, 20L)
- Recyclable garbage(No designated bags, Dispose directly at the Garbage Drop-Off Location.)
From October 2023
- Plastic garbage (clear, 20L)
- Combustible garbage (white, 20L)
- Non-combustible garbage (yellow, 20L)
- Recyclable garbage(No designated bags, Dispose directly at the Garbage Drop-Off Location.)
Plastics garbage collected for recycling:
- Made only of plastic.
- Items not exceeding 30 cm in length on any sides.
- Items without any dirt or scraps.

Garbage Drop-Off Location:
Upper part of the designated location of the Garbage Drop-Off Location (Single Housing/Couple and Family Housing.)
