Added on June 2:
Please see the information “Accepting new and existing International Researcher Housing residents in accordance with the government’s border measures” published on June 2, 2022.
The researcher’s host faculty member must make sure, by referring to the Ministry of Health,
Labour and Welfare website below and other sources, that the researcher does meet the requirements
set by the Japanese government, and let us know upon applying for the housing.
*Eligibility for the shortened self-isolation period will entail various procedures
and incur certain costs, including infection test expenses, arrangements and expenses
for transportation to and from the test facility, and the reporting of negative test results.
In addition, cancellation fees due to the shorter period of stay may be charged by hotels, etc.
Please fully consider these factors before deciding to apply.
Other measures are required, such as notifying the International House Office
at the time of entry to Japan and when the end of the self-isolation period is determined.
The International House Office will provide details upon receiving an Application for Residence.
