You may choose to pay by invoice (convenience store/bank transfer) or by credit card.
After confirming the details below, please choose a payment method when submitting your Application for Residence.
*We may contact the Applicant (host researcher) regarding delayed payment.
Payment by Invoice (convenience store/bank transfer)
- Payments should be made at major convenience stores or by bank transfer.
- Please make the payment to the bank account indicated on the invoice if paying by bank transfer. The designated bank account varies by invoice.
- Residents are liable for bank transfer fees.
- The bank account for Institute of Science Tokyo is for domestic use only. Overseas remittance is not accepted.
New Residents
- The first invoice will be placed in the new resident’s mailbox in the Housing upon completion of the move-in procedure.
- Facility charges must be paid by the due date.
Continued Residents
- Subsequent invoices will be placed in the same mailbox around the 20th of each month.
- Facility charges and any other utility charges (if applicable, as stated above) must be paid by the deadline.
Payment by Credit Card
- VISA, MasterCard, and JCB will be accepted. (including debit card of VISA, MasterCard, and JCB)
- Residents must access the designated website from a PC to begin the payment procedure.
- Please confirm payment receipt on the website.

New Residents
- Upon completion of the move-in procedure, once the invoice is ready, an email will be sent to the resident from ih80.payment@jim.titech.ac.jp with information regarding the website for a credit card settlement service.
- Facility charges must be paid by the deadline.
Continued Residents
- For the subsequent invoices, an email will be sent to the resident from ih80.payment@jim.titech.ac.jp around the 20th of each month.
- Facility charges and any other utility charges (if applicable, as stated above) must be paid by the deadline.
