Medical Examinations for Employees

New employees (regular employees and non-regular employees working 30 hours or more per week) will be sent a notification to take the Medical Examination for New Employees. Please take the examination upon receiving notification.

Other regular employees and non-regular employees working 20 hours or more per week should take the Annual Medical Examination held every October.

Special Medical Screenings for employees engaging in specific types of hazardous work are also held every April and October. Furthermore, other examinations are provided for employees for free or at a reduced rate, depending on age and sex.

Information on these examinations is available at the Faculty and Staff Health Mental Wellbeing page (internal access only) of the Tokyo Tech website. For inquiries regarding medical examinations for employees, please contact the Employee Relations Office, Human Resources Division.

The Health Support Center

The Health Support Center provides consultation services by full-time doctors, public health nurses, registered nurses, pharmacists and counselors to meet your individual health and wellness needs. Services are available to all members of the Tokyo Tech community and include first aid, annual medical examination, referrals and bed rest.

For the doctors’ and counselors’ schedules, please refer to the Health Support Center webpage or contact the center directly.

Family members of Tokyo Tech students, staff, and faculty are not eligible for examinations or prescriptions, but they can consult with center staff for information and advice on clinics and hospitals.
